Sorry if this has been posted, couldn't find it in a search. A default iWeb install is 600+ MB, which is pretty huge for such a seemingly simple app. Of course, most of that space is being taken up with templates. The bad thing is that the templates are duplicated for each language iWeb supports. When I was installing iLife '06 I didn't see an option to selectively install only certain language templates for iWeb. Maybe such an option exists, but I'm not sure. Anyway, you can remove the extra templates manually without too much trouble. Here's how:
Find iWeb in your Applications folder. Right-click or control-click on it and select "Show Package Contents." Navigate to Contents->Resources. Among the many files in that folder, you'll see a bunch of folders with names like English.lprog, Japanese.lproj, etc. Those are the localization folders. Delete any that are unnecessary. I deleted all of them except English.lproj since the only language I'll be using in iWeb is English. Make sure you don't delete any other files or folders from the Resources folder. Frames and ImageGlyps are both folders that should be left alone.
Anyway, after deleting all those unnecessary localization folders, iWeb went from 600+ MB down to 109 MB, freeing up valuable space on my PowerBook's hard drive.
