Hi

I would appreciate any help. I have a mac book air shared between myself and my daughter, when we boot up we pick our own user account. Mine is the primary account so I effectively have control over the air.

I have now bought myself a new macbook air and want to delete my user account on the old air and make my daughters account the primary one. I want to do this without stuffing up the shared itunes library or anything else I haven't thought of.

Please could someone advise how to do this, or point me in the right direction.

thanks

Josh

I am assuming here the iTunes library is not under your account, because if it is, this will delete it.

Login to your account and go to System Preferences and Users and Groups. Select her account and make sure you give her admin rights.

Then logout of your account and into her account. Now select your account and click the minus at the lower left to remove it. You will be prompted if you want to delete all the data in the account then click okay.

thanks for the response. She has her own apple id but I think the itunes account was mine. I had the air on my own first and then added a user account for her. I think I shared my library under home share as one of my 5 authorised computers.

Thanks
