Hi,
To uninstall programs that are installed on VPC with Win 2k, is it done as if I'm removing something from a Mac OS or Windows OS.

Also, if I decide to eliminate VPC and Win 2000 alltogether, how is that done. If I take VPC and put it in the trash, will it get rid of Win 2k and all associated programs, or do I have to uninstall everything piece by piece?

Thanks.

Frank

Just drag the app, and the drives (wherever you put them) into the trash, and if you can be bothered any preferences to, but prefs aren't that important.

It's amazingly difficult to find where this stuff is??? I can find VPC, but not the others. Anywhere in particular I should look, or can I just use Find and dump whatever is there??

Thanks.

Frank

Usually Virtual PC installs inteslf into your application folder. So drag that to the trash. Also I believe the drive image gets stored in a users "Documents" folder. So if there is anything regarding Virtual PC in the Documents folder that is probably the ticket. Once you've gotten rid of those two things you're pretty much set. There might be a small file sitting here or there but nothing to worry about. The program executable and the drive image are the big files.

You can use a small utility by OmniGroup called OmniDisksweeper, that can help you find the disk space being consumed by each folder on your hard drive.

The disk images have an extension of .vpc6 so if you search for that you should find them. I think SilentPanda was right and they're stored somewhere in your documents folder by default. I have all of mine on a different drive.

If you want to remove programs from Windows in VPC you have to do it the Windows way. Your Mac can't see the individual files.
