iPhone Renaming apps

Does anyone know how to do this manually through ifile? I found a tutorial that said to change the cfbundlename in info.plist, but unfortunately it was from four year ago and doesn't seem to work anymore. I know there is a Cydia app to do this, but I'd rather do it manually if at all possible.

I would also suggest just doing it through a cydia tweak but manually you have to edit the info.plist still. The key you have to change is CFBundleDisplayName

Did you respring after changing it?

No I don't like respringing because it removes the usage stats. I turned the phone off and back on though.

Well that's why. After changing it you have to respring, or get a tweak to rename it for you. I use Icon Renamer from Bigboss. It doesn't require respring.
