macOS Renaming Images inside of Image Browser?

so i've been reading a bit about Image Kit and the Image Browser. Is it possible to rename images from within the Image Browser itself? It seems that iPhoto it's possible to rename events in the "All Events" section, but is that an example of Image Browser?

I'm trying to add photos to the Image Browser, have them either saved to file or userDefaults (if that's possible?), but to be able to rename them from within the image browser. is that possible?

Unless you see something mentioned in the docs about it, I doubt it. I would be surprised if iPhoto used the image browser view.

i guess i assumed since it's possible in IB to check "Titled" and "Reordering"... unfortunately for me it's "Titled" under Style, and not "Re-title" under Allows... just seems kinda dumb to be able to show a title and not be able to change it in the browser itself... but since Image Kit is new to Leopard, i'm assuming that feature might come along eventually...
