Hi there

Apple touts the new Mac Mini's as able to combine multiple ones to use as render farm/ servers.

But does anyone know how you would combine multiple Mini's to use just from one macOS account and let's say a 3D app like Maya that then could utilize all Mini's (CPU/ GPU/ RAM/ SSD across all) to render 1 scene?

Rendering across several computers has been the way of 3D rendering for decades. Doesn't matter if its Windows or Mac machines. Old minis could do it too. Any PC. Professional 3D software (like Cinema 4D) make it really simple to set up a "render farm" over your network. Macs & Windows machines can all join in.
Using lots of new 2018 Mac minis as render nodes sure would look slick, but it would be a very expensive way to go about it. Best to get dedicated Windows render boxes with mega cores. Much more powerful and a lot cheaper. Render nodes usually are placed out of sight in another room anyway and are not interacted with via a mouse or dedicated monitor, so it doesn't matter what OS it's running.
