Hello,

I tried to rent a movie from itunes. it showed as just a grey screen. days later the file is gone. just blew 3 or so bucks on a rental that didn't work. what do i do?

Cripple your firewall

I had this same problem. What worked for me was to set the firewall to "Allow only essential services" (I had it set to manually set access for each program). I don't like having to cripple the firewall, but my rentals played perfectly after changing this setting.

this happens to me when i hit pause and then resume after a movie has expired, even though it says i can keep watching, all i see is a grey screen with sound.

this happened to me when i rented ratatouille, and i contacted iTunes support. They quickly emailed me back and apologized over and over, and they gave me $40 dollars worth of iTunes Store credit (i gave them a VERY hard time about it). So i suggest you tell them you want your money back....they'll do it.
