iPod Rentals 30 Days After DVD Release... Not Exactly

I noticed today that THE INVASION http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewMovie?id=272779202&s=143441 showed up in the iTunes Rental Section. Now this movie was just released on dvd on January 29, 2008 but it's already available as a rental on Feb 7th? This is really good news if this will be the trend with more upcoming releases. The shorter the wait between the DVD release and the availability on iTunes will affect how well the rentals do. If they are day & date w/ the DVD release date, this will greatly affect video stores, netflixs and so on...

Keep you eyes open for any other new movies released before the 30 day window...

Yet again another movie shows up earlier than the 30 day time frame.

The Brave One is available for rent, 1 week after it's DVD release. Keep it up and we should be seeing movies on the same day very soon!

No Reservations is available in SD & HD.

The DVD came out on Feb 12th! This is only a 2 day waiting period... It's getting better!
