When i rent movies of of Apple TV, why are most if the more popular movies like "The Vow" and "E.T" Buy only?

I reckon Apple dies this deliberately, rent most of the old stuff, or older stuff, but classics like all the "indiana jones" you can only buy at $14-$20

For that, you may as well pop down to your DVD renal shop and get it.

Is this preventing people from enjoying streaming like me? I don't mind it, its just more, and more movies are "Buy" only, (with probably no intention of ever being a rental) in worse case your no worse off. Sine fir a fraction of the "Buy" price you can rent several recent and classics from the DVD Store (the ones that are still left).

Is this up to Apple? The Movie companies? Or both, that decide in Rental or Buy only?

This is kind of a pain they continue to do this. There has been several older movies that I would have loved to rent for my kids to enjoy only to see I had to buy it. If that was the case I'd go pull it out of the $5 bin at Walmart and rip it rather than pay $10 or $15 for an old movie.
