Basically what happened, a very good friend of mine worked on a CS5 psd file and worked directly off of dropbox. He said he never had any problems doing that instead of working locally but this time it seems to have corrupted the file.
I'm trying to help the poor sob and see if there's any chance to retrieve the data.
Anybody know if it's possible somehow to repair a corrupted CS5 psd file?
I have googled everything possible and tried some few apps but it didn't work. Most of these psd-repair apps are for windows so i did it via parallels and while the apps said it was successfully repaired it didn't repair it at all but create hundreds of individual empty psd files. I assume this is because these repair apps still haven't been updated to read CS5 properly.
And any CS5 program and any other image editing/ preview apps refuse to open the file.
And the file size is still the same as it was in healthy state (around 250mb) so it seems it did keep the data but somehow must have corrupted it.
Is there hope or is it all gone?
Usually you'd have temporary psd files when working on local drive but he was working off of dropbox.
