Hi everyone! Though I am new to register here I have lurked for a while and it was you guys that persuaded me to buy a Santa Rosa MBP. I am fairly pleased with it, though I do have a few problems.
First, my "A" key is kind of odd. If I don't hit it correctly it doesn't register. The MBP keyboard is not my favorite keyboard anyway, but the A key in particular troubles me. It will often not register when I am typing fast which leads to a loss of productivity.
Second, I only noticed this recently, but I have what appears to be a small hair or piece of dust trapped under my screen in the upper right hand corner. It is very small, but I still notice it every time I look at the buttons at the top of windows. I don't know if it was always there but I am almost certain that it is under the plastic.
Both of these problems are relatively minor but are quite annoying especially when you consider that macs cost a premium over their pc counterparts. I do have Applecare and I was wondering if I should take my laptop into an Apple store and have them look at it. Do you guys think they will fix such small problems? Will they have to replace the whole laptop? I am a college student and I can't be without my computer for any amount of time. How does this work?
Thanks,
Daniel H.
