Hi,

I just got my hands on an iPhone that was unlocked and then upgraded. Now it won't boot again. The boot messages go very fast but they look like kernel messages / kernel panic / memory dump stuff to me. So I think this issue is completely in the iPhone's software. Is there any way I can fix this?

Thanks.

Ron

Nevermind, I should have read the threads here before posting. Sry.

so have you fixed it?

If I was you - i'd look at restoring and then re-unlocking with iLiberty.

put the phone in DFU mode (search for that on here to find out how you do it - basically hold power and home keys for 10seconds (exactly) then release the power button but continue to hold the home button for a further 10seconds.

now start itunes - this will give you a message like "you have attached an iphone in DFU mode - shall I restore to 1.1.4" - restore the phone and when completed run iLiberty+ (which will shut down itunes itself) - tick the boxes you need (unlock, jailbreak, activate) and run iLiberty+

good luck!

I didn't fix it yet, but I found the restore option. I only have a Linux machine here so I have to actually try it back home later today.
