Repairing permissions wont repair

I have this annoying problem, after verifying and repairing permissions and re verifying it returns all listed permissions again countless repairs wont solve the problem, I tried to repair by booting from installation cd but same list returns whatever I do, after repairing an re verifying permissions should not return these right ? how can I solve this

Just out of interest, was this just after installing 10.4.3? My iBook's permissions looked pretty similar about an hour ago. It's strange because my iMac seemed to get away relatively unharmed.

well before installing 10.4.3 I always had few of the warnings but not this long

Me too. It's back to normal but that first repair was crazy!
