Repeating phone call

I was at work with dirty hands and could not answer the phone it continued to ring and eventually ran the battery down and heated up the phone to the point it was as hot as a laptop. The weird part is that the last phone call was at 8:36 when i finally unlocked the phone there was no call and that was an hour later.
