Ok, so I am aware of issues involving reminders since Catalina. However, I have not seen anyone post about the same issue I have.

I had several recurring weekly reminders, and a couple recurring monthly reminders. I have experienced some issues with the reminders popping up on my MBP even when dismissed on my phone. However, since Catalina, it has become much worse. The reminders pop up repeatedly.

For instance, today, the same two reminders popped up over a dozen times each. Here's the thing...I have deleted ALL reminders because it's been so irritating! I know it's syncing because changes I make on my phone mirror that on my MBP. Both phone and Mac app show no reminders. But, there they are at least every hour, like old faithful.

Any ideas? TIA

I have no solution, I can just confirm

web and I iOS devices (13.2), iMac (10.15.1) sync correct, only my macbook pro (10.15.1) stopped syncing, when I disable reminders in iCloud settings and even completely log out and in again, reminders download an old state of reminders data from the cloud (or from a local cache?), next I will try a new user account on the macbook pro

I wanted switched from things, but this isnt stable yet unfortunately, maybe it never will, it reminds me of syncing problems with iCoud Drive

Thanks for the response. I think we have different issues. I'm glad you got yours resolved. I also found a solution for mine. I'll post it here for anyone who might experience it in the future and happen upon this thread.

Apparently, information in the ~library file can become corrupted. I removed the "calendar cache" folder and the notifications ceased.

All is well now. Link to where I found the solution below.
