i own a 12" powerbook 867mhz comes with a 45W power adaptor. the 45w power adaptor gets very hot after charge. I search the forum regarding this problem and I have found out a lot of people having hot problem and also apple doesnt produce 45w power adaptor anymore and replace with 65w one. the question is does the 65w power adaptor compatible with my 12" powerbook 867mhz which use 45w??

thanks

should i leave it then...just wait untill one day it die.??

I think that the higher wattage charger means that it can take more of a beating and not that it will be frying the PB.

When the power supply on my iBook blew up (yes, blew up), I replaced it with the 65W version, and it works fine. This doesn't mean that it draws 65W, it can just handle a load up to that maximum.
