replace battery on dented phone

I was planning to get a new iphone but after seeing the new 16 and realizing I only want it for the sake of something new I decided to keep my 12 mini at least another year but get a new battery for it. I am a little concerned that they may have trouble opening the phone to service because at some point it picked up a dent in the side that has put a larger "gap" on one side of the screen than the other. There are no cracks on the screen but the whole thing seems a slightly warped. Can the battery still be replaced?

Apple won't touch it but a 3rd party shop will do it..

Yes, I went to a local "Apple Premium Partner" and they did it just fine. I was also a little worried apple store might break my phone on purpose to sell the new one.

I got a magnetic belkin battery from FNAC some months ago which is neat but it doubles the weight of the phone haha.
