My 5th Gen 80GB iPod's HD recently died. I would love to get the new 160GB 6th gen, but cannot afford that atm.

My current library has been larger than 80gb for some time. It is about 90GB.

I am looking to replace the drive and would like to bump the size up to, say 120GB.

Which drive would be compatible with my iPod? It is a 5th Gen 80GB Video (ie. not the 5.5 with Genious Play and updated interface).

I have read up on the process, and it looks to be easy enough, but can't find a recent article with the latest supported models.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Wow 120GB for 189... yeah definitely looks like a new 160 then. Guess I can just get an 80gb then for now. Damn that is still 139 bucks. Guess I will just manage my iphone music library until the funds are available for a 160GB. Just back from a cruise, money isn't flowing, lol...

Thanks.

160 is enroute. Went to cancel it 5 minutes after order, since Best Buy was 20 bucks cheaper. Wife wanted to get it engraved. O well, it is already on its way. Was ready for shipment supposedly 5 hours after it was ordered.

Be nice not to have to juggle my library. Almost all fit on the 80gb. So have room to grow :D
