I have a 3g Iphone. The vibration suddenly stop working for 1 weeks now. I try to restore the iphone many times but it won't help. Do you think if I bring the iphone to apple, would they replace it for me? My phone is still under warranty.

The other issue I have is I don't have ATT account. I am using Tmobile. So what should I do when the genius people ask for my SIM card. Can I tell them that I only use my iphone as an ipod to listen to music? Or should I buy the prepaid ATT sim card?

Please help me. Thanks a lot.

Since your phone is unlocked it's no longer under warranty - per Apple. You can however restore to the latest firmware and Apple will not be any wiser, however, you're stuck with trying to get it replaced without a valid AT&T account. Some have been successfull, others haven't. Hopefully it works out in your favor.

No att account

So what is the best course of action for non-att account people that want to replace their iphone? I have searched this forum and the web but got no clear answer.

Please help me

Is the iphone still under Applecare warranty?
You can always fix the vibrate switch elseware for $30-40
If its under warranty restore it to official firmware, activate it with someones AT&T sim and bring it in to Apple. If they replace it better hope you get something prior to 3.1.3 firmware if not you wont be able to unlock it.

My iphone is still under apple warranty. Could I used the prepaid ATT sim to activate the iphone through Itunes? Or do I have to get the post paid ATT sim card?

Thanks

pre-paid sim should work as long as there is credit on it.

I am buying the ATT prepaid SIM card off the ebay. So should I activate the SIM with different phone? Or should I activate the prepaid SIM through iphone?

Thanks
