I have been watching hundreds of youtube videos on the galaxy s3 and I now am torn between buying the galaxy s3 until the iphone 5 comes out OR waiting for the iphone 5 and see if the NEW galaxy nexus will be better than the s3.

Right now I can sell my phone for $650 which is nice and will leave me some spare money if i buy the s3. But I don't know if i should shell out and try out the s3 or wait for some months and then decide to get the iphone 5 or stay on s3?

What do you guys think?
Should I be worried about the NEW galaxy nexus that will eventually come out this year or could i be safe with s3?

Also, I really want to install google wallet onto the s3 and i am with VERIZON so the nexus is a big choice.

iPhone 5 to me, after 6 years of being with apple, has gotten boring to me and I'd like your views. Thanks!@#!@

If you want Google Wallet, then don't bother with the S3. There are ways to make it work, but imo it's not worth the trouble. Wait for the Nexus. You are bound to get equal or better specs to the S3, Google Wallet and OS updates quickly.

The only reason you would want a S3 over a Galaxy Nexus currently is the expandable storage on the S3.

I would be tempted to wait a couple of months if I was in your position. I have a S3 and a 4S think it both are brilliant phones, but with the new iPhone and Nexus coming out, there are exciting times ahead.

Can someone explain what Google wallet is? I'm unfamiliar with it. Is it Google's version of PayPal?

My opinion is somewhat noobish here, but a few small facts I do know is that if you are a stats/newest and most powerful, currently that is the S3 and will likely remain so. Google has so far, not gone spec hog wild on their nexus phones as from what I understand, they are primarily designed as developer tools.

The last one I was tempted to buy but with reports of horrendous battery life and crappy camera (compared to a lot of models out there) I waited on the S3 and don't regret that I did.

I know that JB will come to my device eventually and I am not impatient for it.

Either way, if you wait you win. You either land the iPhone, a reduced price S3 OR the Nexus if it is coming out before November.

FWIW, If I had heard even the whisper of the new Nexus phone coming out, I would have waited to see what it offered before I decided on the S3 or Nexus. However, it is not even at substantial rumour phase and I got impatient!

Correct. The Nexus phones are not top of the line devices, they are designed for developers. The S3 is a beast, but it also doesn't run vanilla android. Mine is all decked out in Go Launcher Ex, Go Locker with a Jelly Bean theme.
