Hi everyone, I'm a new user and I'm looking for advice from you.
My workstation consists of:
- Mac Pro 2013 (12 cores, 64GB RAM and D500)
- HPz27q monitor (5K resolution, connected with two Mini DisplayPorts)
- Asus PB278Q monitor (2K resolution, connected with Mini DisplayPort)

and finally a MacBook Air 13' m1. (without any monitor connected)

I would like to replace my 2013 Mac Pro as it can no longer receive updates and has become jerky with recorded videos from the Sony A7Cr.

What do you recommend me to do? I don't want to lose the 5K retina quality, I really like my HP monitor. Is Mac Studio compatible? Should I use two usb-c adapters - minidisplay Port? (which I already own)

Thank you.

Ps. I'm not in a hurry, I could wait for the next Mac studio m3 update. In the meantime, however, I would like to clarify some doubts.

An m2pro Mini would probably outperform a 2013 Mac Pro. By a longshot.

I'm thinking we will see m3pro Minis in the first quarter of next year (not far off).

Or...
Consider an m2x Studio now, or "hold out" for the m3x Studio later on...

That's not a 5K monitor, it's a 1440p monitor, is it not?

Other than that, what Fishrrman said.

Do you still want 64GB? If so then you can get that in the Studio M2 Max but the RAN prices are high. You can also get the Studio with M1 Max in the Refurb store for less, though if you want 64GB it usually is not in stock in the Refurb store.

Sorry for my slow response.
Thanks for the tips.
I'll probably get the Mac Studio Max, I have no alternative.

@picpicmac:
The HP monitor is "5K" and I use the two mini display ports to have this resolution on the MacPro 2013.
My fear is losing 5K resolution with the current or later mac studio.
