Does anyone have any tips before I attempt to replace my iPhone 6+ screen ? My current location is Hawaii and I have received few suggestions like TCAWireless where one can repair broken screen. I've done a couple apple products before and they werent bad, but i've not yet done an iphone 6/+. Anyone have any tips for me? Thanks

It's simple enough (easier than 5s) but you'll end up with a slight colour shift as the screen won't be calibrated.

Pay the $129 and have apple do it. If anyone messes up transplanting your home button and breaks anything. You will lose Apple Pay

Error 53 was never fixed.

Phones shut down because of error 53. Apple did come out with a fix. But the fix only restored the iPhones to working Conditions. It did NOT bring back Apple Pay to devices that lost it

I shop around for screen replacements. And most companies are also charging the exact same money as apple does to replace screens. Some are even charging more.

Its actually cheaper to pay out of pocket for a screen repair at the Apple Store. Then it is to buy AppleCare and then pay the deductible.

I say have apple do it

Cell savers 139
Cupertino iphone 109
Dish network $158 plus tax
I fix it charges $149 for the part. So your spending $20 more to DYI??? That makes no sense

I have to agree. Have read too many horror stories of do it yourself replacements or having one of those mall kiosk repair guys do it. You might think you're saving money but in the long run, you'll wind up paying even more to get it fixed right.
