Hi all,

I have a MBP 15" mid-2014 retina. I replaced it with a Newertech battery a few days ago, and a few things happened:
1) Condition still says: Replace Now (even though I calibrated once, and have done PRAM and SMC resets), and coconut battery says's it's poor status
2) fans still run randomly, often and loud (I cleaned them well when I changed the battery)
3) right speaker no longer works - has slight crackly sound (although with headphones I hear both L & R sound)
4) Right USB port no longer charges my iphone (but it does power a small ext hard drive or a wacom tablet)

Any ideas at this point are welcome.

Thanks!

Sounds like the battery is bad or some board damage occurred during the battery replacement.

Put in the old battery and see if the USB port and sound problem disappears.
