I just got my iphone replaced because I kept getting a 1603 error.
At the Apple store, the "genius" put my SIM into the new iPhone. And then I hooked it up to their laptop to activate it. It took me to the setup screen that you get when you first get an iPhone...asking me for my mobile, zip, and last 4 of my SSN. He said you weren't suppose to get this screen and that I shouldn't do it because I might get billed twice. He suggested I go to an AT&T store and let them know because my SIM might be corrupt. I told him it worked in my razr earlier. And then he said I shouldn't do that.
So anyways...I left and am wondering what the process is when you replace your original iPhone. Should you be able to put your SIM in there and iTunes will pick it up and just make you sync it? or do you have to do the activation again? If so, do you get the same screen I got that asks for phone #, zip, and last 4 of SSN??
Thanks
