I had been having trouble with touches on my iPad Pro 12.9 2nd edition so last week I opened an AC+ ticket and, of course, Apple replaced it with a refurb very quickly. For that, no issues expected nor received.

However, upon restoring my backup to my “new” iPad, I found that a lot of my movies and TV shows would not sync complaining they would not play on this iPad. Whaaaa?

It turns out I had encoded all of those videos with h.265 and for some reason, my iPad running the same iOS will not play them. They worked fine on the one I had replaced.

Today I tried to just wipe and start from scratch but even now they still will not sync.

Odd thing more is if I connect to my iTunes library from TV on the iPad, they will play by streaming.

Anyone have any ideas what happened? The replacement is the same model (2nd gen), same iOS version (11.2.1), and the movies certainly worked before.
