I need to get a replacement CDROM or DVDROM drive for my G3 Blue and White. Is there a particular model that I need to get or will any standard internal CDROM or DVDROM drive work?

Any standard drive will work but Pioneer, Sony, and NEC drives have the highest compatibility. The B&W doesn't need the CD/DVD drive door to be removed.

The doors of optical drives have to be taken off on the Quicksilver, MDD, and Power Mac G5 so that you can eject the drive.SmurfBoxMasta said:

I like to buy from macsales.com. They are a Mac supply seller which sells good stuff. You will get a compatable drive if you buy from them for sure.
