On my network I current have 4 Airport Express base stations connected to shelf stereo speaker systems and it works fine, mostly except when one of my Airprot Express Base Stations decides to quit working. I have 2 that I need to replace and only one spare. On Amazon they are crazy expensive and I am just not sure about sBay "pre-owned" units.

Is there a replacement base station by some other manufactured that will do Airplay and connect to my stereo systems like my Airport Express units?

Thanks,

Andy

That audio port is a great feature. I don't know of any other units that support it. They're cheap enough on CL and eBay that I would take a gamble on one.

I went ahead and ordered a couple of refurb units from eBay. Also I think Apple will still repair Airport’s so maybe i’ll Try that as well.
