Has anyone replaced a Note 2 screen? I found a Note 2 for a good price but the screen is cracked. I've replaced my old 3GS screen twice, so I'm just wondering if I should do this myself or pay someone else.

I would check YouTube. There is usually really good step by step videos. I would be worried about the glass cost because it is so much

Is the display and digitizer cracked or just the outer glass? The screen/digitizer assembly is like $220+ but the front glass only is like $20.

It's kinda hard to just replace the glass, from what I recall reading. Doable, but needs a lot of patience and of course the risk of destroying the display itself.

One of the guys at work accidentally dropped a weight on his phone breaking the glass.

He bought an original replacement glass complete with a tool, from Amazon. Only $31.00

I watched him change it, less than twenty minutes, no problem.

It's not even a Note 2...it's a note 1

Nice catch. But how can you tell? I've seen photo's where it says Note II on the back, and then I've seen photo's where it doesn't say anything but Samsung on the back.

the bezel is the major difference. The note 2 home button is thinner and longer
