So I took my iPhone 5 into the store today, and they said it would cost $300 to replace the screen and battery...
Instead of that i'm going to try fixing it myself.

Would these 2 products work fine to repair it? Unsure if that battery is the right one (what does 5G mean?)

Will try to be extra careful with the swollen battery..

Edit: Ordered cause it will take a while to arrive

That repair kit is fine, although the quality of these cheap screwdrivers is usually bad. It should do the job fine for 1 replacement though. I'd take a look at ifixit and some youtube tutorials. Replacing the battery is very easy.

This battery is ok: https://www.amazon.ca/iPhone-Batter...d=1502978369&sr=8-1&keywords=iphone+5+battery

Replacing the screen is more difficult. I suggest you buy the whole LCD+Digitizer and move the speaker and home button from the old to the new one. It can get tricky so definitely watch a few tutorials on this before you attempt it.

Ok thanks. Unless its damaged underneath, I don't think i'll attempt to do the screen. I'll tape it down if it doesn't stay on lol. I'll be replacing this phone with the next model, so it just needs to last a few more months.
