I have searched the forum and could not find an answer to my dilemma:

I cannot remove the original eartips from AirPods Pro to replace them. I have read the instructions and watched the video on Apple website on how to remove the eartips. They won't budge. All I am doing is stretching the silicone out and I am afraid I will rip it.

Is there some trick in removing in the eartips or do I have defective Airpods?

I chatted with Apple Help and they basically were no help at all. Said because I bought the Airpods on Amazon I would have to return them. I don't want to do that because the Airpods work great otherwise. Just can't remove the eartips.

Are they genuine AirPods? The tips just clip on. If you pull them they should pop off without a lot of force.

Yes, they are genuine AirPods. They arrived in a sealed Apple Airpods box and the case says "Designed by Apple in California Assembled in Vietnam"

Also, my iPhone 13 Pro Max recognizes them as Airpods.

Just pull the tips off then, might feel really tight but just grip them close to the headphone and pull it off.
