my 3 year old 17" powerbook G4 is now on life support in the form of an external hard disk after struggling and collapsing last weekend. I've read that some people here have replaced the hard drives themselves with one bought from newegg. is it easy? much cheaper? any body know how? or can point me to some specs? (i do graphics so wouldn't mind upgrading what i had.)

thanks
