Replacing i5 with an i7 chip possible?

That should work but why would you get the 875K instead of 870? They are the same, 875K just has unlocked multiplier but with a Mac, that does not matter because there is no BIOS. Bear in mind that replacing the CPU voids your warranty

I didnt know that, thanks for the info.. And yes I know replacing the CPU would void the warranty.. Was just curious at this stage.. ;)
