I was in an accident when my tour bus I was on overturned off a bridge and my MacBook Pro (and everything else I owned) was lost in a river (Everyone was ok). I’m in Iceland and found a wonderful little store that had the exact model - 32GB with 4TB. It was an Apple licensed store, not a corporate store. When came back to the hotel, I discovered it was an Icelandic keyboard. I remapped the keys in the keyboard settings in System Settings and it works fine. How difficult and expensive would it be for Apple to completely replace the keyboard from Icelandic to US?

More importantly, would Apple replace a perfectly functioning keyboard? I'm thinking, no.

Any keyboard repair requires the entire top case to be replaced (which includes the battery). For work, I had a 2020 13" M1 sent for repair and the top case price was £455 (without VAT).

I'd consider buying key cap stickers - you'd find them on eBay I suppose.
Swapping the keyboard usually means replacing the whole c-cover
