Just wondering what the MacRumors community thinks I should do about this:

When the MBP is closed, the screen must touch the keyboard, making little scratches, or tiny imprints. The blemishes are only slightly visible if the color on the screen is dark enough. This becomes very annoying since I often think solid colored areas are speckled with slightly discolored streaks. I have a full 3 year Apple Care Protection Plan. Would Apple do anything for me? If not, do you think I should get a new screen and somehow protect it better?

I wouldn't buy a new screen just because of that. I'd ask Apple, but wouldn't really expect much help. In the future, or to prevent more damage, consider using something like this.

Yeah, I just wish I would have used that from the beginning. Do you think it's worth it to still get one? I can't imagine the screen would get too much worse.

Well, it would ensure that it wouldn't get worse, and maybe - just maybe - it might buff off some of the marks. Can't hurt, might help, will keep it from getting worse. Might be worth it!

Thanks, I just ordered a black one! I figured it was necessary especially since we usually play slosh and other messy drinking games right by my computer. Luckily there have only been minor issues with that...

I have a PowerBook 12" that has a lot of key marks on its LCD screen. Unfortunately, a lot of notebooks have this problem, not just Apple's.

So when I ordered my MacBook I purchased an iKlear polish kit that came with a keyboard cloth similar to the Radtech one you posted.

i just ordered that and the black cover for my keyboard. thanks for the advice! spent about $40.00, but I'd like my macbook pro to last and look as good as possible.

my tibook has a similar problem. most of it however is not scratches, but rather "oils" from my fingertips. Periodically I clean the screen, and it gets much improved (not perfect, but much better). Then it starts over.
