a friend of mine has a dual 1.25 g4 and somehow someone removed the "jelly" as they put it, aka the heatsink, from one of the processors, thus burning it out. so i've been trying to look around on the internet to find a replacement processor but have not found any. some help would be greatly appreciated...

Was this someone who was trying to "fix" you computer? As you found out the hard way, a computer should never operate without some sort of thermal compound between the CPU and heatsink.

Anyway, check out OWC for processor upgrades. Perhaps they have a used dual 1.25 G4 for sales as well if you don't really want to upgrade although I believe the prices would be about the same. Otherwise, checkout eBay. I am sure you could find some folks selling the old 1.25 G4's after they got their new upgrades.
