I currently subscribe to Sirus XM radio in my car, and am planning to get a new car that has Car play built in. I know nothing about Apple Music and am wondering if it can replace Sirius for me. I could then use Apple Music on my Apple Watch, iPhone, Macs, etc.
1. With Apple Music and CarPlay do you listen to music like you might listen to with Sirius radio where it will just play songs from selected genres like stations? OR do you just listen to your own playlist and songs that you pre determine? I'd like to be able to make my own playlists, though I'd also like to replicate something like a station that plays music for me based on a genre, and might plays songs Ive never heard.
2. If it can plan songs from different genres without having to manually curate playlists, is there any benefit/reason to continue subscribing to Sirus radio if you are not interested in the news or other channels that are only offered through Sirus?
Thanks.
