If i bought the iphone and put my works phone sim card in (also O2) can i avoid the monthly bill and the 18mth contract?

Why does he have to jailbreak it? I take my AT&T sim card out to use in a throw away phone, and I have no issues going back and forth.

These guys seem do to what i need - any one used them?
I can still use the works o2 sim card and avoid all the charges and 18 mnth contract - it's the future surely.![]()
Ok - I'm gonna make some people mad here with a couple of really silly questions but I need to be sure on some things.
1. I can get round the 18 month contract and surcharge /month by "jailbreaking" the phone - done by myself or "professionaly" ????
2. "Jailbreaking" will lose all warranty??
3. "jailbreaking" will render future updates useless??
4."jailbreaking" causes the loss of some functions - i.e. visual voicemail (even when putting a new O2 sim card in) and loss of merging calls.
5. "jailbreaking" could make your phone useless all together one updates via Apple are released ??
Sorry for the DOH factor, but i need to be sure on a few things here, £279 is a lot of cash to potentially blow away when all i may be left with is a iTouch.
