When I start my iMac the hard drive makes this wineing noise and only the white screen shows.. i have a mid 07 i mac the one of the first ones that came out with aluminum bezels.. Where can I buy just a hard drive for it so I can replace it?

If you still have Apple care you should get them to replace it for you. If not you may want to have a look through this thread. Replacing iMac hard drive I have taken my 20 inch aluminium iMac apart before and while its not that hard to do if you have worked on computers before it does require patience and is definitely a pain in the butt
