Does anyone know of a reliable app with decent performance for analysing audio tracks and writing the replaygain info into the tags? I've got a library of 13000 stored on a NAS and want to batch process them for playback using a Bluesound Node 2i. I've tried beaTunes, which should fit the bill on paper, but it's INCREDIBLY SLOW and hangs occasionally, so it can only handle about 100 tracks at a time, at most. Having spent a day searching, I can't find any alternatives though. This seems like something really basic — what am I missing?

Have you tried copying them to a local SSD or hard disk and tried analyzing there? Any difference?

That went well. Looks like my issues with beaTunes were mostly down to trying to do things across a network. I've been in touch with the developer (who's been great) and he thinks he may have a way to improve performance over a network. That said, I've done the full library now, so I'll just be using it on new additions from now on. So it looks like beaTunes should work fine for me after all.
