I've noticed that the setting "Reply with Message" under Settings > Touch ID & Passcode doesn't seem to be working correctly.

I noticed that when it is disabled it still works the same when enabled. Nothing changes. I am still able to reply to a an iMessage from the lockscreen. But first I have to put in my passcode or use Touch ID.

I thought if it was enabled you should be able to quick reply to iMessages WITHOUT putting in your password or using Touch ID and vice versa when disabled.

I've toggled it on and off and no difference. Is this happening to anyone else? I'm using an Iphone 6 on IOS 10 GM.

Ok, just figured it out. "Reply with Message" is referring to when someone calls you on the phone you can quick reply with an iMessage from your lockscreen.

I thought it meant enabling a quick reply of an iMessage text without putting in your passcode.

Originally it was for when someone calls you and you respond with a message back, but at some point it was changed to control the ability to quick reply from the lock screen (without TouchID/passcode). I'm not sure if that changed again with iOS 10, or perhaps not working quite right for you for some reason.

It's working correctly. At least for me it is.
