I have a rev A macbook pro, on its second battery (the first did the weird thing where it refused to charge.) Recently the capacity dropped from like 3 to 2 hours, but I notice that if I force it to wake up when it goes to sleep after 2 hours I can still get another hour out of it. I tried doing the thing where I drain it and then charge it all the way up, but that doesn't reset the computer. Also taking the battery out and pressing the power button doesn't seem to do it either. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Well my experience with apple batteries in general hasn't been smooth.. ipods, laptops..

With my latest MBP I'm trying to keep good care of the battery, the laptop in general for that matter.

Following the calibration instructions here
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86284
shutting down once and a while and not leaving the mag-safe plugged in for prolonged periods of time.

I'll be keeping a good eye on "coconut battery" and look for improvement.
