Reprogram Ring/Silent Switch

Just wondering if this was possible, or how difficult it would be. I never turn the ringer on but I constantly have to turn wifi on and off and I would like to have this switch do that.

That would be a reason to jailbreak

I rarely ever turn my ringer off and on, yet I constantly turn WiFi off and on to save battery life. You would think if apple was so worried about battery life they would allow for that option!

Same here, that would be very handy.

Its a soft switch (meaning it controls software instead of hardware) so it should be programmable.
