My optical drive crapped out while i was doing multiple upgrades to my mac pro. While i almost never use my optical drive anymore, i need to be able to burn an iso on to a dvd+r.

I think one of these is the drive i need to get to properly replace my drive.

search page if both are no good...

I don't want to worry about connecting a new drive to the motherboard, as i think all my power supplies on the motherboard are being used by my graphics card. This means i need to have an IDE drive. I think if i purchase this drive i can just easily swap out my drive with this new one. Also wondering if this drive will function with bootcamped windows 7.

thanks in advance.

First one (LG) looks good. Second one (Lite-On) is SATA, so no to that.

You can just swap out the drive. You will need to pop off the bezel from the front of the tray on the new drive before installation.
