I've been trying to make a purchasing decision, but I have analysis paralysis. I would like to buy one of the new iMacs, but I'm concerned about the thermal performance and the fact that I'm purchasing less for more money–loss of upgradability (I have a tower) and older hardware (old Bluetooth 4.2 not 5, etc.). I can definitely see myself jumping ship either on this purchase or my next purchase.

But if possible I'd like to see some Cinebench scores and CPU temps on the following machines.

A. 2019 iMac with i9 9900K with Radeon 580 X (with Turbo Boost on and Off)
B. 2019 iMac with i5 9600K with Radeon 580 X (with Turbo Boost on and Off)
C. 2019 iMac with i5 8600 with Radeon 575 X (with Turbo Boost on and Off)

I would lean towards B, but I've seen that the Cinebench test raises the CPU temps to around 93 degrees - but no throttling. My concern is sustained temps over 80 degrees will harm the performance of the CPU in the long run and could cause other parts to fail. I hope to keep the new machine from 4-6 years. But if I have to turn TB off to keep the temps down, is it worth it?

Now C should run cooler as it is a 65W chip, but I can't upgrade the GPU except with an eGPU. And eGPU's get finicky especially in PhotoShop. https://macperformanceguide.com/blog/2019/20190324_1106-ReaderComment-eGPU.html

Added on top of the fact I could get a better machine (sans 5K monitor) for the same price and still have the ability to upgrade. I say better because even the stock i9 9900K runs faster in a PC than an iMac because the wattage is stuck at 95W so the thermals can handle it.

Thanks for reading the ramble. And thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Haven't come across Cinebench scores yet but found the Geekbench scores:
