Ive heard the claims that SBSS is indestructible. S0s and S1s still “look like the day they were purchased.” 700 days of 23 hour use and not a mark on them. Are the rumors true? Is a scratch on a SBSS like the Bigfoot of the tech world? Surely the sheen of the SBSS must fade or something? (I am asking because, as many of us are, I am still torn between a SS or SBSS S4). Thanks for humoring me.

My very first Apple Watch was the very first Apple Watch series 0, the OG haha. That was a 42MM SBSS with the link bracelet. You can see in the following pictures when I first got it.

Now I don’t have pictures of it from when I sold it I do have a picture from a year later looking very new still when I got the space black Milanese loop. It looked just like that when I sold it.

Then last year after owning the series 0 for 3 years I got the Series 3 SBSS because of the LTE and the screen and speed improvements. And now i have the Series 4, well because it’s finally the Apple Watch it should have been 4 years ago. This is what the series 3 looked like when I sold it after a year.

Just so you know how I use the watch a little, I go to the gym 4 times a week, I shower with it and never not have it on unless I go to bed. I cut the grass with it, wash my cars with it, literally do everything and have it on all the time. The best thing is all the bands work still. Both the link bracelet and the Milanese loop are still looking like new because of the same coating on the watch. Hope this helps and sorry for the long post

I saw this today on my Series 4 Space Black , what do you think , should I go to apple? or should I order applecare+ and swap it. I have no clue how I get this thing on the edge...so far all surroundings are fine - maybe its a production error?
i had three space black watches before and no one showed me damages like this (including watchband)
what is when apple declines change , can I afterwards order Applecare+?

Thanks for help
