One feature I would really like to have implemented on the iPhone is the ability to set the lock screen as a always up to date view of your calendar

I tend to miss calendar appointments, even when I set a notification for them. But if my daily appointments showed automatically on my lock screen I think I would miss them less

Has anyone found a way to set something like this up without jailbreaking the iPhone?

Closest thing is using a calendar widget (either the built-in one from Apple's Calendar app, or a 3rd party app), and that way you can always see your events for the day (and perhaps beyond) whenever you go to the Today section in Notification Center (and can even do it when the phone is locked if you allow Notification Center to be accessible from there).

Really hacky: if you can get the entire day's events to fit into one screen via your favorite calendar/scheduling app, can always make a screen shot of that and replace the lock screen background with that.

Like I said, really hacky.
