Here is my new MBP 2.5GHz Penryn w/2GB RAM:
On OSX:
Rendering (single): 2900
Rendering (multi): 5469
Multi speedup: 1.89
Shading (OpenGL): 5210
On XP Pro:
Rendering (single): 2738
Rendering (multi): 5150
Multi speedup: 1.88
Shading (OpenGL): 5028
Here's my P4 2.4C Northwood @ 3.0GHz w/2GB DDR500 RAM, Asus P4C800E-Dlx i875P and Matrox Milennium P650 64MB AGP:
Rendering (single): 1771
Rendering (multi): 2137
Multi speedup: 1.21
Shading (OpenGL): 262
OK, so the Matrox isn't much for 3D. It's also driving two 19" LCDs.
It is nice to see that the Penryn is a huge upgrade from my 4-year-old mid-tower. I can't wait to put all of my NLE and DAW software on here. Video rendering times should be cut nearly in half!
