I've noticed that after my mac goes to sleep, I don't have to enter my password anymore like before despite the option still turned on and still require a password after 20 minutes. When I lock my mac by myself it works like before, it just won't lock itself anymore if I go away without locking my computer myself.

Anyone have this problem?

I've encountered the same issue. Have you managed to find a solution?
Nope. Still have this issue but it's totally random. Sometimes when I reboot it works normally until another reboot that trigger the problem again. Never had this issue before Somona.

It's ridiculous how Apple advertises its products as prioritizing privacy, yet serious and seemingly trivial problems like this are deployed in production. How can I rely on the MacBook to prompt for the password in case of theft? It's absurd.
