I am in line at the Arden Fair Store in Sacramento.

Anyone know if they will start selling iPads to the "Purchase" line prior to 3 pm?

The security guards mentioned that reserved is 9-3 and the purchase line is after 3....

yikes.

The Apple store I just picked up mine from said

"We will not sell iPads to non-reserves until ALL people who reserved have been served"

A few people didn't like that, but pretty much says you're not getting one till 3PM or everyone that reserved picks it up.

May vary by location..

Richmond, VA store was alternating reservist & non-reservist. The reservist line was around 50-75 & non-reservist was double that.

Apple Store in Milwaukee (Mayfair mall) is doing 10 to 1 ratio of reserves to walk-ins.

Apple store in LA told me they will start selling to non-reserved at 10am. Reserved gets theirs at 9am.

This is how they are doing it here, was in the store at 9, out at 9:05 wohoo. Was 14th in line until they split it up, 5th in the reserve line and they probably let 15 in the door at 9am. The Apple store here had lots of cases, docks, and by looking at the stack of iPads, easily had 400+ on hand.

The line was about 160 to 200 when I went in. Glad I got in line early enough.

At Millenia Mall (Orlando) they have two lines. They're taking from both lines, but the reserved line seems to be moving a bit faster. I got in line at 9:00 AM and waited about an hour to hit the store. Just getting ready to sync to iTunes now.

When it first opened here at 9am they were just doing reserved, but after the first few batches they were alternating and letting about 5-6 non-reserved in a time. The people who pre-orderd entered the store and stood on a line to get their ipad, the other people were assigned to their own specialist who would help them out.

Well I feel sorry for those that didn't reserve one. I was at the Park Meadows mall Apple store and there were about 150 in line for the reserve. The employees stated that the non-reserve purchases would be waiting a bit. There was another 150-200 in the non-reserve line.

Some are going to go home empty handed...

So far I'm loving this thing.
