Dear Ipaders!

I wanted to find out, when the time comes, where will the reserve button be on the page? (www.apple.com/ipad) or after clicking the buy now button? Another question is, when will the reserve button show up? Any clues or ideas?

iPad 3G reserves were simultaneous with wifi reserves on March 12. Now only regular orders can be placed which will currently ship "before May 7th".

Yeh, I don't think there's going to be any "reserves" concept on the 3G anymore. Release date appears to be April 23 - time's getting too short, and supplies of the 3G are too constrained. Apple has a significant bunch of pissed-off Europeans that they have to address.

My guess is that buying an iPad at an Apple store is going to be a hit-or-miss first-come-first-served situation for quite awhile.

I am betting that the few 3G models that show up at Apple Stores and Best Buy will be sold quickly and then be Out of Stock. If they caught Apple with short supply on the WiFi units, I can imagine it will be worst for the 3G units!

Was there a iPad 3g reserve?

...I tried to reserve a 3g version the morning just after the website was updated the day of the pre-orders began on Apple's website, and I wasn't able to reserve the 3g as it was only for the iPad Wi-Fi.

Did I miss it somewhere? Was there ever a "reserve" for in-store pick-up for the iPad 3g?

Yeah I haven't seen the reserve button. To just be safe, I ordered a 64GB iPad 3G this morning from the Apple site. I'll try to get one from the store on the 30th, if I get one I'll cancel my order from Apple.
